Literacy Council York-South

Our mandate is to promote adult literacy in York Region and to provide a free, confidential tutoring service. We recruit and train volunteer tutors to help literacy challenged adults to set and achieve their goals. The resources and methods of Laubach Literacy Canada, linked to ProLiteracy (USA) and Laubach Literacy International, provide the core ingredients for our success. These contribute to our strengths and core competencies. The Laubach method is an integrated series designed to teach adults reading, writing and numeracy. Visit Laubach Literacy Ontario
