MCC Surrey Thrift Shop

Mennonite Central Committee, a worldwide ministry of Anabaptist churches, shares God's love and compassion for all in the name of Christ by responding to basic human needs and working for peace and justice. MCC envisions communities worldwide in right relationship with God, one another and creation. Through local programs, MCC British Columbia (MCC BC) works to meet needs here at home. We also support MCC s work in 65 countries around the world by raising funds, mobilizing materials and providing international workers. MCC British Columbia is one of six provincial offices in Canada. MCC Thrift Shops support the worldwide relief, peace and development ministry of MCC the Mennonite Central Committee. In Kenya, MCC is working with local partners to build sand dams and provide families with clean water close to home. In Laos, MCC is helping children go to school by providing school supplies, supporting breakfast programs and building schools. In Haiti, where MCC has been at work since 1958, MCC is rebuilding homes and livelihoods following the earthquake in January. These are just a few examples of MCCs relief, development and peace work with over 1400 service workers in more than 50 countries around the world. Each purchase at one of MCCs thrift shops supports this work.
